You are very welcome to visit this traditional, historic Post WW2 reconstruction homestead in remote Arctic wilderness settings of Norway, with a highly regenerative perspective on lifestyle and the co-creation of transformational experiences.
This beachside property is located 14 km east of the E6 (main road through Norway), right in between the notable Arctic destinations of "Paris of the North", Tromsø (300 km., southwardbound by bus # 150) and North Cape (360 km north of my place).
I'm your hostess Louise.
The four accommodations offered, are all curated and cared for by me personally, as I welcome you into my large homestead, where I rent out three cozy guestrooms in the loft of my vintage style residential house, and a simple guestcabin in my wonderful regen-style forrest garden.
COMMUNITY VIBE
Here, you can have that nice community feeling around the kitchen table, while also preserving your private sphere and restoring your energy in any way needed. Nature is all around. I welcome you for workation, artist's retreat as well as rest & recreation on this beachside property with ancient forrest, rugged mountain terrain and a romantic little stream and waterfall right outside the front door.
You'll get untamed Arctic wilderness, with inspiring nature and wildlife everywhere.
PRIVACY & ACTION
The ambience is informal and relaxed, with shared kitchen (which is the heart of the house) and shared bathroom on the ground floor, while you get your privacy in your room on the loft, in your guest cabin 50 metres from the house, or better yet, in the backyard wilderness or on the beach.
Also plenty of spectacular nature experiences to be had in the local vicinity, under the midnight sun in summer, bathed in autumn's colours, or the Northern Lights in winter.
CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS:
1) For guests staying 7 nights or more: I can offer free van transport service from/to regional bus #150 connecting cities of Tromsø and Alta (bus stop "Kvænangen - Sekkemo Camping"). Schedules and ticket purchase available through Troms Billett mobile app.
2) I also offer one weekly shopping trip to the local convenience store, since meals are not included in standard accommodation.
3) The shopping trip can include 1 optional, guided sight seeing trip to one of three local nature/culture attractions.
4) Seasonal menus can also be prebooked and prepared by me for your convenience (only by previous agreement and prepayment, depending on season and preferences).
5) I can accommodate guests in prepitched tents or lavvus in the forrest, garden or beachside (kindly send individual request), for those who would like even more nature-connectedness. DarkSky guarantee. Minimal noise and visual pollution. Only nature.
TRAVEL ROUTES
By train/bus northwardbound:
1) Oslo-Fauske, from Fauske daily bus #100/#100 via Narvik (transit point), and then bus #150 (direction Alta), get off at busstop "Kvænangen (Sekkemo Camping).
2) Stockholm-Narvik, from Narvik daily bus #100 (direction Tromsø), shift to #150 (direction Alta), get off at busstop "Kvænangen (Sekkemo Camping).
3) Tromsø Prostneset - Busstop "Kvænangen (Sekkemo Camping), with bus #150 (direction Alta). No transit.
By bus southwardbound:
3) Alta-Busstop "Kvænangen (Sekkemo Camping)", bus #150 without transits.
From busstop "Kvænangen (Sekkemo Camping): Daily afternoon school bus to house, otherwise 14 km (hitch)hike (with locals).
